Headcanon : Dennis has GERD, Chronically Ill!Dennis
Dennis knew he should take his medication but everything just hurt and ached too much.
He'd had a very eventful couple of days and his body was completely dead from it.
He winced as he felt his esophagus work without his command, bringing stomach acid to the back of his throat and burning as it did so.
He knew his medication could help, but that would also require getting up, and his body was too destroyed to do that.
So he just lied around and suffered.
